Product Description
HQP40G-SR4 is a parallel 40Gbps four channel small form factor pluggable (QSFP+) optical module. It provides higher port density and overall system cost savings. The QSFP+full duplex optical module provides 4 independent transmission and reception channels, each capable of 10Gbps operation at an aggregated data rate of 40Gbps on a 100m OM3 multimode fiber.
Fiber optic ribbon cables with MTP/MPO connectors can be plugged into QSFP+module sockets. The guide pins inside the socket ensure correct alignment. Cables usually cannot be twisted for proper alignment between channels. The electrical connection is achieved through MSA compatible 38 pin edge type connectors.
This module is powered by a+3.3V power supply. The global control signals of LVCMOS/LVTTL, such as module presence, reset, interrupt, and low-power mode, can be integrated with the module. The 2-wire serial interface can be used to send and receive more complex control signals, as well as receive digital diagnostic information. A single channel can be addressed, and unused channels can be closed for maximum design flexibility.
This product is designed with external dimensions, optical/electrical connections, and digital diagnostic interfaces based on QSFP+Multi Source Agreement (MSA). Its design can meet the harshest external operating conditions, including temperature, humidity, and electromagnetic interference. This module provides very high functionality and functional integration, which can be accessed through a two-wire serial interface.
